dana point sat 9/22/
Tired of fishing Newport been real slow for me outside of harbor and kelp.hitting Dana point tomorrow.fished there one time before in winter in not shure on the areas to fish.any advice on the area?

Headlands and Saltcreek areas....out the opening and right about 3 miles north
good luck, and just be careful when you go by the reefs up there...

Or go south. . . outside the harbor towards capo beach. A little variety to catch. Dana doesn't hold the same fish as LJ, but it can still be fun. The wind can get stiff and make for a tough return paddle/peddle.

Right on thanks for the input.hopeing for better luck than cdm has been lately.andlooking for a new fishing partner my old one turned into a house wife.
