I guess its yoyo season...
Launched around 6 and headed straight to the yoyo grounds.. Marked a spot on the GPS where I got snagged on some nasty rocks and my buddy sam nailed a nice gobly goop <(rockfish of some sort) and we kept goin back to that every 5-10 casts..Sam gets nailed halfway up on a 7x heavy and sticks his gaff into a fish with the thickest shoulders I might have ever seen...About 20 min later Sams fishes baby brother got hungry and ate my 6x jr. a few cranks off the bottom.. 27# and.............. 43.5#!!!!! on pac coast IGFA scale!!!

Damn Ryan. Nice fish for both you and your buddy. Gorgeous day to be out there. I thought the fishing sucks during these high pressure days.

Well done gentlemen!
Nice meeting you both - Ryan and Sam. It should also be mentioned that although they had a GPS, I think neither had a depthsounder that i could see. Relatively low tech - impressive. Good seeing you out on water Dave.

Nicely done all the way Ryan and Sam. Swueeet.
We took our skiff out for a ride. Saw it all, but nothing happening for us up North. Before 10:00 AM, we headed down to South LJ kelp to try for halibut. Jasmin was THE stick… savin’ old dogz school. Dinner… 8) And then this… Quite a schocker: :cyclopsani: Baaaaah. :cyclopsani: His personal best of all times. Here’s some video.. Some guest appearances… Bendoblock.... Movie Great seeing everyone.
