bait keepers

hey guys i want to catch some bait on subikis to use for fishing the kelp. what would be the cheapest way to make a bait storing device? how can i make one. videos, pictures or links will be most helpful. I have heard that bait tubes r easy to use. oh and by the way this is my first post and if i posted it in the wrong forum my bad.

Bait tube. All parts at home depot. One thing I learned. When using the bait tube, instead of just hanging it over the side. I put a rope on it and tow it behind the yak. Makes it easier to paddle without the side drag.

Good question. . . better answers. I started with the white 3 inch french drain (the one with holes, but I drilled a bunch more holes). I also planned on using a couple of the green irrigation drain caps on each side I had lying around.

Great idea to bungee the cap on the "open end", I wasn't quite sure how to pull that together.

Not a big fan of the bait tubes, but they do work. Here's a video for making a bait bucket.

However if you pick up a Dog food storage container at Petco or Petsmart and plumb it the same way you'll probably enjoy that better.
