bait ?
does anyone have any advice on where a good place to go and catch mack's for bait im not asking for any secret hunny hole or anything i normaly get mine off Redondo Pier but last weekend me and the family tried 10 hr's and got 4 mack's so im just hoping that it was a bad day or if anyone wanted to share a better place i was thinking the kelp beds just south of Redondo anyone ever try there ?

I'm planning on going out next weekend with only my sabiki in Newport. I don't know much about Redondo, but the mouth of NPH has never let me down. Schools swim by every 10 minutes.
Ok, maybe I'll bring a bass rod too.

Go to redondo jump on your kayak, watch for bait on the surface, watch your meter. When you see them on the FF drop down and catchem! No secret spot, go out and findem, schools can be large! Little strip of squid on your sabiki can be helpful...
