8/16 Nine Mile Bank

Steve and I launched the AIs from Mariner Point and grabbed some horse dines before heading west. 2-3 kts going out made for good slow trolling. No life for us out there. 72 degree blue water, few kelp stringers but no legit paddies, no boats stopped, few trolled through as well as a swordfish boat.

7 kts coming in was wet and wild. Fun stuff even with out any fish. Would have loved to come across a marlin finning, breeezers, jumpers, foamers, bird pile or a productive paddie...........next time

Too bad you couldn't have found the right kelp paddie and gotten into some of that hot Dodo action the sport boats (even 3/4 day) have had lately. Better luck next time.

Hmm. Makes me wonder. Im currently putting a trolling motor with a nice lifepo4 on my new x factor. Would make a trip like that possible. Would be sick to get into some tuna action!
