Im planning on going out to jolla to kayak fish this Sunday. You guys have any advise? It's gonna be my first time surf launching and first time fishing in La Jolla. Any advise will help, I heard its gonna be windy too will it be smart to go or not?

Wow, you're not asking for much are ya? Maybe try your first surf launch wth out gear to get a feel for how your kayak handles. Use the search function and good luck to you. mike

If your putting in at the shores, launch and land between the green flags when there are people on the beach. Also from there, if you are making your way to the point, you will pass two pencil buoys. Wait till your about 100 yards past their line before you drop a line in.

Oh yeah, if you unload on the beach, take a run at the soft sand so you have enough momentum to not get stuck.

Just be smart and you will be fine. My first time on the ocean was a surf launch at la jolla at midnight with overhead waves. Got very very wet but made it out first attempt thanks to a nice kayaker who got there same time as me and gave me some pointers.
