Lowrance Scupper mount
Any one try one of these yet? Thinking about giving it a shot on my OK Trident. My thru-hull is working pretty decent but always looking for the possibility of better results.

Sorry for all the questions. I completely understand the concept but Lowrance states "fits most". I can see my lures drop at times and I only have a cheap little X4. Just shooting through the hull and not even wet. I can only imagine what I'll pick up with it directly in water. |

Despire what it says on the packaging, they do not work with all the transducers. (50 vs. 83? I forget which one I've got but it's bigger and doesn't fit)

We have done a whole bunch of them on a pretty wide selection of boats. The best I have seen is on the Malibu 2012 Xfactor, tucks up really nice.
The Ultra 4.3/4.7 was nice too just kinda hard to reach for install. |

I installed one on an xfactor, and a tarpon 160. It worked well on both boats, I'm just very rough on my gear and didn't want to worry about smashing the transducer all the time. I switched back to an in hull grease mount.

from the hobie forum.
http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewt...782&hilit=toro "I am looking at going through the scupper holes on my PA. I was looking at the Lowrance scupper mount. Until I noticed that all it is is a modified sprinkler head. I had several extra Toro sprinkler heads in my garage and they are the same. Just a little modification. So before you spend $54 dollars on the the lowrance mount. take a look at the $1.50 sprinkler. Fits right in the scupper whole."
