I guess it's technically the "Double" uni-knot I use. It seems very strong and I have yet to have one come undone. I saw it recommended a bunch when I was researching braid for the first time. I find it does snag sometimes on the eyes though if my leader is a bit long.
What knot do you use? I wouldn't mind losing that occasional snag on the eyes. Dan |

Uni to uni works great, I use it for all braid/mono connections as well. Just make sure you slowly pull the knots together and watch that the loops dont overlap. Never had it break if tied correctly.

I was always told, and have personally experienced that the line will break before the Uniknot fails. I use it a lot too, mostly for when I'm tossing rubbers.
