05-02-12 South Bay

I launched late,& worked up current to a couple drop offs. Pitched a few different plastic patterns and refined the retrieve to a slow roll to their liking this specific day.. Made my way over to the lower pit, and the current and winds reversed into my favored direction to drift. Worked the deeper trench edge of a shoal and the bite turned hot & produced results about every other cast. It was a really nice day in the bay to say the least, I had it all to myself until the regatta went berserker. It was really cool to finally be able to stand & sight fish on my new PA. I had numerous sightings of weary Halibuts chase up my swimbaits right to the yak & then bolt. The Corvina chewed good too, a couple decent Spotties thrown in the mix, and I ended the day at dusk.

Wade I did not think you fish for things less then 36 inches long. Nice to know you are human!

Fun day.
