Floating Fishing Tools - XTools CHEAP!
Nope this is not a for sale ad...
Instead, I wanted to inform you guys of a great deal I just came across over at the Sports Chalet in Rancho Cucamonga (15fwy/Foothill Blvd.). XTools - They're those blue and green floating tools that came out a few years back. They seem pretty decent (especially for using on a yak) and they float! Always wanted a few but never pulled the trigger cause they were a little pricey. Anyways, the deal I found at Sports Chalet was: $4.96 EACH!!! The tools include lanyards, and sheaths too! They have Some large pliers, needle nose types, and spectra cutters. Thought I'd pass on to you guys a good bargain (IMO). |

I bought a pair of their pliers awhile back for that same price. Its not as sturdy to remove hooks out of a fish. And most pliers had gaps when they would be fully closed so it was hard to grip the hook.
All i ever use it for now is for the braid cutters!

they are available for that price at all sports chalets.. i've seen them in 3 different ones.
i just question about how well the jaws close and how well/long the cutters last - some may say, what do you have to lose, it's only $5. i have $5 to lose |

They are the same at Sports Chalet in Torrance and Long Beach. I saw them recently. Picked up a pair of the pliers. They feel weak but i keep them on my PFD and they are light and out of the way.
