Flush mount rod holder extension
Ive been seeing alot of really nice mods on here lately and it got my brain working. This is a simple but useful creation I came up with, mainly because I like the options that the ram mount tube holders give you but I dont like alot of things protruding when it comes to loading and unloading....plus im cheap. Its just a couple pieces of pvc w/ a 45° elbow. (excuse the color, this was a special order for big one) fits snug and can be adjusted any number of ways I'm going to make this for all 4 if my flush mounts using black pvc so it looks cleaner and I will also flare out the tips of the pvc so its easier to put the rods in.

Yep yep
Decided to not fish today so I could install the transducer and have a full day of cure time. Next is the livewell, should be operational by next week. I tried to do the Green Monster justice on my maiden voyage with her but walked away yesterday with a big old skunk.

Nice! I made something similar for trolling on my Outback. Dunno how much play the PVC has in the rod holder, but I added some closed cell foam around the base and wrapped it in electrical tape to keep it from moving around.

If you add a 1-1/2 pvc coupler to the bottom side it will eliminate play. You can also notch the coupler so that it locks on to the gimbal hump built into the rod holder. Hope that makes sense, I kinda did the same thing for a Go-Pro mount and it came out pretty nice. I can take pictures if needed
