Finished my wooden fishing boat...

Just finished the US Hannah. She was a 18th century
colonial top-sail fishing schooner.

George Washington commissioned her as his
first war ship, 1775. She was refitted
with cannons and sent out to attack british
supplies ships.

Lots of history. A fun project since this kit
came from Spain with nothing more the detailed
drawings and lots of sticks.

If you want to see some more models check out the San Diego Maritime wMuseum.
They have many models and a model shop.
Also they have full size historic ships.

Very nice work on your model.

What's next? An eskimo kayak?

I love wooden fishing boats, especially those you can actually fish.

Very nice Yani, reminded me of the forgotten tall ships my Dad use to build when I was a kid.

Thanks guy,

This project took me 15 yrs to complete. Off and on.
The real challenge was not finding anyone to help me.
The only way I got thru this was because of the Model
Ship Building Mags I got my hands on.

I'm sure my next project won't take as long. And, I'm
leaning on tackling "The Black Pearl." Although fictional,
she's a real beauty.
