big bite!
Guy said he was in 25 feet of water right off the rock. The bite looked like it came from the bottom. Very lucky guy!

Damn, those guys have a serious sack fishing there. Ano Nuevo, just a couple miles south, is an extremely sick right hand break that nobody surfs. I wonder why?
Elephant seals are the preferred prey there and funny how the silhouette of a kayak looks about the same sitting in the water. Good thing he was on an Outback and not a Revo or Adventure. |

---------------------- Considering the 25" Greenback I caught yesterday (my personal best) and clean water, I would say you have a very good chance of an up close and personal experience with a Giant Mako or GWS.

That Outback is the same color as a seal. Stay away from that color!

Is that why you only fish from boats and not from kayaks recently |

Serious Question. I'm not just asking this because I'm an OK guy and I noticed in the video that the other guy was in a Prowler.
Do the Hobies seem to get hit more by GWS than any other kayak because of the shape and the drive shaft? |

Glad he's OK. I would have come back to shore immediately for a change of pants.
Imagine if he was filming with a GoPro when it happened! That would have been some epic video. |
