Nicaragua anyone?

I'll be visiting Nicaragua starting November 18th. I've done lots of reading but would highly appreciate your hands-on fishing or any other nature-related advice.

Cheers,

Ash

if your into surfing send me a pm and ill send some details other than that, theres heaps of nature related activities that revolve around lake nicaragua, flor de cana is the local rum thats delicious and dirt cheap, the chicks are hot and friendly, the party scene is in managua the fishing scene would primarily be down by san juan del sur on the south end more towards costa its pretty much a fishing town and you can easily hire out a panga there for cheap. A great place to go....

Nicaragua,

I was in southwest Nicaragua (Popoyo) this past July on a surf trip but I fished from shore one day and a couple days off a skiff. From the skiff I caught a couple YFT, a sailfish, Jack Crevall, Sierra, and Dogtooth Snappers eventhough the conditions weren't ideal at the time. From shore I caught leopard grouper, red snapper and a couple other species. Inshore there is suppose to be a lot of Roosterfish and offshore there is some big Wahoo.

The place is freakin Amazing for both surfing and fishing with little fishing pressure.

These guys at Surfari Charters have this place wired. I didn't stay with them but our skiff was next to theirs in the lagoon......saw them with a huge speared wahoo and dogtooth snapper.
