Hollowcore braid question
I've been researching online quite abit about hollowcore braid ( Jerry brown, cortland, hollow ace) My question is about the connection between the spectra and leader. Are most of you using the chinese finger trap technique? If you are are you using a crimp or glue to prevent slip. I worry about damageing my guides while using a crimp and also worry about slipping using the glue ( shouldn't worry so much ). Just curious what everyone does.

I have been using the hollow ace as well as black water with the finger trap connection. Making my own wind on leaders and doing the loop to loop. I do the serve and glue connection for the finger trap.
Love this set up. I make the leaders while sitting around watching football. I build a jig to help to do the serving and it works very well.

I use JB hollow / Cortland C-16 and make my connections with a Sato Crimp and Glue.
Its a strong and reliable connection, and it will pass through the guides smoothly without hanging up. (roller or conventional) http://satocrimpandwinder.com/procrimpkit.htm
