LJ report
Sunday, beautiful day. Surf tiny, tons of rays to shuffle past. Those beyotches scare me.
Wind? What wind? Bait? Mac-zillas. Even had some for the birds at the landing, one adventurous sort thought he'd pick it up and sail westward with it...couldn't even clear the surf zone. Trolled high and low por nada. Went to the outside, then went S. Nada. Settled for rockfish cuz I like to eat fish. Caught 4 big salmon grouper on the same esqueeeed head and tentacle set up. Trolled with the macs, no love. Came back N, to the original spot, decided to lounge and soak macs on the bottom...got raked by a hali, no back hook so he munched on the body as I fed him line. Lo and behold! 300 yards off, huge school of YT crashing on the surface, birds screeching to get there. Get there they did, and by the time I got there, they pulled a Houdini. Chucked the iron, to no avail...oh wait, I did get something... Sore phooking arms from doing a long ass paddle, coming back in, then having my adrenalin flow and sprint to chase down the dang YT and fling iron at them. Oh well, least I got a workout, got to hang with a buddy, chat with an old chum at the landing, great weather, some very fine eye candy, esp. the mother with the six-pack abs and body to match. The best part, watched a boat realize that they had something on since their pole was bendo sitting in the rod holder, then realize that they had a WSB on, but the line was foul-hooked on the prop. After many unsuccessful efforts to free the line with the gaff ( you do see where this is going, don't you? ), it was decided to try lifting on the rod, PING! No, I think the best part was the abs on that hottie... I know, no pics = BS... Note: This is a current report. Not months old.. Oh, and to the skipper of the new (unnamed) seaforth boat, that was me flipping you off as you barreled past us yakkers just to go inside and catch macs for your customers, nice wake dickhead...

Don't know what it is with those half day captains, but I have had more than my fair share of drive-bys from them myself. Thanks for the timely report.

Nice report, felt like I was there!
But a timely report just screwed up LaJolla for weeks to come trying to see some MILF hard body with abs in a black bikini!!! Thanks for ruining the launch for everyone! |

We had one crowd us off the edge of the kelp on Sunday and as they rigged he made a snide comment to his cattle about the Kayaks. Used to be that captains had respect and class. They caught nothing ... F' em...
