La jolla 7-29

Hit up la jolla at 1 am to about 5 am for no fish. Had 1 on using fresh dead squid but broke me off in the kelp. The wind blew pretty good through the morning and the water some chop. Still getting used to this night patrol in the surf as I rolled my yak coming back in, unfortunately I Lost my only set of glasses during my fantastic water landing. Oh well not enough skunk reports on this board hahaha

Sucks about your glasses. PAL posted a link awhile ago for Nexstaps and I purchased a pair, still only $12.00. They work great! Here's a link: http://www.nexstraps.com/

At least you felt something on the other end of your line than dead squid....cant say the same and I was there from 730pm till 530ish am. Thank god the squid bite is over and I can rest easy knowing that if a fish is posted on this site that was caught at night (for awhile anyways)... it was a fluke, and, in all likelihood, a retard, unfit to pass on its inferior DNA.

No one will ever sweat you for a "skunk" report nowadays. It's the "catching" reports you gotta be careful about.

I hit up Cherry Beach in Long Beach today for not too much action. I was trying a super-duper-secret-new halibut technique. I kind of felt like the guy in this video below after my slow day...
