Friday AM crowd

Anyone heading out want to laugh at the first-time night yaker? Plan is to be there 3-ish. I have a couple flashlights, squid jig, thermos of coffee, bag of donettes, and a couple fishing poles. What else do I need to bring to keep from being shunned?

A carton of pacificos and a joint would make you pretty cool....

Just kidding, if your gonna launch for the first time in the dark, just be safe and aware of your surroundings (other boats, lines, marine mammals, guys that have been quietly stalking an area overnight waiting for one bite)...

He's really not kidding, that would make you pretty mutha f'n cool!!!

But for catching fish, a couple pounds of hand picked fresh squid from your local asian market (ranch99) may net better results. Squid is usually tuff to make in the dark.

Sounds like you should hook up w/these guys, they're planning on going the same time, http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwevb/s...ad.php?t=10955

Good Luck!!!

While I'm sure that might be fun, but I like wearing my badge not looking at somebody else's.

Sounds like there might be a crew out there to help me along. Is a glow stick or two advisable or not worth the trouble?

IMO.......a glow stick is worthless, make yourself VERY VISIBLE when fishing at night........ trust me on this one.

Remember that just about all the boats out there these days are fishing ballons which will typically be down wind unless the current is stiff.

I'll be out there, not sure how the last few days have been but its been pretty tough to make squid. I would say earlier is better to get as much squid as you can.

Stay away from the boats. Their hull slap and anchor ropes are a total turnoff to Cbass.

"thermos of coffee, bag of donettes"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhAHAHAHAhAHAHAHAHAHAHA
we should have all seen the fine print boys.

In all honesty you dont need to be lit up light a squid boat but a bright headlamp that can withstand a splash or two is a great idea and is probably all you'll need.

If you read the fine print in this post and not the humor there is some excellent info the boys have offered you...

And occaionally the cartels use white livingstons... Just saying

Glad somebody else got the humor on my side too. I need to root around in my hunting gear and see if I still have a headlamp. And yes, all information was gleaned for authenticity. Thanks guys, hope to see and not bump into some of you out there.
