Old Man and the Sea
Dear Friends I write this report for kayak fishing member in Israel Hanan Yishai Now when I stood up for the afternoon rest and Csharad hands (effort) a little past me, but still feel Every muscle in my shoulders and back, you can begin to tell the experience of experiences ... Well meet in the morning in Tel Baruch. Solomon and I early before everyone chats a bit and then starts to get a respectable team that includes granola team in full, Sponge Bob, Ram (I have not seen recently and always fun to see him) Dawn Trabelsi and more. Map to organize and enter the water quickly before he started getting heat ... Sea Swallow us with a gentle and pleasant breeze, indeed starting to sweat moisture but still pleasant. Ophir loud and I'm starting to get beat deep reef rowing pace. When the plan to arrive early and cut back relatively soon before the start of the heat. Are trying to point here a point where nothing nada ... huge! Try everything .. Jig, be sure there no movement And not touching the truth all wrong all the time for wind and drift fishing nervous does not give easily. Slowly gather all the reef including Isaac Gift of ffice:smarttags" /> At each he was three of us decide to cut back and start down into the wind with Swallow Back, the truth was a fun and fast paddling. Come to Tel Baruch and I suggest we stop riffs shallows might be something shallow. Surprisingly as it descends down the wind so shallow it almost completely falls. Here I am taking a little story to be full .. Recently, I could not really catch something significant kayak. Or that perceptions of small loci, or that I had rips and smells (kind of shitty luck like that), or caught Abu blacksmithing them do have a remarkable success! And other dishes I had Bz'irzor ultra-light, the plates including hooks, Mrmirim, small loci of mullet were released but even all what it has done nothing demonstrates the empty refrigerator. Tel Aviv club have already started looking at me a look mixed with pity again nothing ever did you get the point ... how do you say this fish quest bonus. Well after the introduction can go back to the point, cut short as we shallow, I think I realize what kind of boiling I decide to go Ltroling, since I have only rods Troling gigabyte, I dress at the red headed doll she had flames off her recent successes down and begins to rise back to the boil. Some 30- The first few seconds the fish gives Pate and suddenly there is no tension on the string and I'm sure I fled again. Continues to roll, and suddenly the thread starts running hysterically nervous and in a second and a half flying some 100- Hands begin to ache and I replace the left hand right hand occasionally, the back began to ache and I start thinking what do I really alone Ophir and loud enough from me and I begin to increase pressure on the fish. Here's where I get to where he was under the kayak and see it first time and recognizes Palmyra From up 3- Fortunately, Solomon sees and comes to me and I tell him I'm trying to get the fish and the water once it help me with. A few more minutes and the fish was also quite exhausted and costs more up then I recognize that beast! Solomon also sees the stunned animal and nano size! Even a brief struggle and this time he has been at the kayak I try to stick Ganz and fish down again, again twice attempts finally I give him the Ganz back. Solomon comes to me trying to get him to kayak but can not. Animal really serious and more afraid not to stick us a bite from her head back and teeth actually cruel. I take more than Solomon Ganz giving her too and she pulls our whole ... agility of a professional knife and stick her head offsets her and she stops struggling. No way she gets on my kayak and complete and I decide to get it on the flagship of the whole. Collaborative effort and is the kayak of the entire tail quickly binds her case and decide to fly at the beach. Solomon's kayak tilted on its side and we walk slowly to the beach.fficeffice" /> Meet on the beach the Ophir and loud, Solomon makes us Bok images from all directions. The fish is on the beach attraction Lkiakistim and pier fishermen who come from every direction to see and be impressed. It's getting hot and I'm afraid that the fish spoil. I decide to cut the fish into three four parts so that we can take him improvise a knife and I start to clean the fish and my effort Ophir Cut the fish into four pieces. Stomach he or she had two huge sacks of eggs transferred to another homage to Solomon dry and delicious preparation. Yummy .. I decide to fold quickly and to refrigerate the fish to cut it into slices. Finally - the experience was amazing, there is no such things .. Sport fishing at its best, set light, a giant fish. Fishing and fish, fight head to head to the end of the power of both! Finally a huge thanks! Solomon for your help and support in raising Submit kayak fish the charming pictures and the video amazing Thanks to Ophir and loud for the help on the beach - was a day of fun never to be forgotten .

No kidding on the teeth! You'd learn really quick not to lip it like a bass. Great fish. Pretty water color. Nicely rigged boat. Well done sir.

That is a Spanish Mackerel. A true Spanish. Let that be a lesson to all those that call our bait Spanish. Not even in the same family. Thanks for the report!

Holy Mackeral!
Oy va voy, habibi! Eze dag! Eze mazal!
Im ani zocher nachon, hyu "dagim acherim" b'tel baruch, pa'am, vsameach lilmod sh'adein yesh masahu tov byam bazor. General translation (especially for Kurt): "Oye Vey, my friend! What a fish! What luck!Yours is the second great kayak fishing tale from Israel, w/ the last being from Menash and about the huge amberjack he caught off one of the wrecks down south. Since its been awhile, your report may be the first time many of the folks out here (Pacific West Coast) get an idea as to the size of the Spanish Mackeral that comb Israel's Mediterranean coast, not to mention learn that the Med and Israel could/should be on the kayak fishing map. Having lived in - and fished - the area near Netanya for years, I know the fish you caught used to be common, but given the unregulated, almost daily netting by local seiners, the big fish that once roamed the area are almost totally depleted. A huge congratulations on a great fish and great story, and thanks for posting it in this forum. D'ash ham l'col hayedidim shali' b'aretz, Avery Ellisman |

Is that a Spanish Mackerel or a King Mackerel? I used to fish for kings off the east coast of Florida and down in the keys when I was a kid.
