OC report, no ghosts today

on the water by 1pm, trolled a mac in a range of 70-90 feet of water for about 3 miles down cdm to laguna and back on a 1/2 oz slider with a 3 foot 30lb mono leader. Right when i got on the water there was a ton of birds working the surface, but the dolphins and seals were right there with them. Should i have worked my offering through the dolphins and seals? would the biscuits be feeding along with them? Had no takers but it was a fun experience and a great workout, may try again earlier tomorrow.

I have been working that area for the last few weeks and it has been looking very fishy. TONS of bait and I have seen the dolphins and seals out there too. I also saw a thresher slashing a school one day but couldnt get it to bite. I'll probably be out again this weekend one or both days. Dont give up.

Right before i hooked the WSB in that area we rolled threw a huge swell going the opposite direction of all other swells. I can only a imagine it was from dolphins. I read somewhere WSB hang out underneath picking up scraps. Never heard back from you on messages carbon. Hope you got my replies. Me and my son should be in that area 6/23. Thanks for the work on my sports at OEX iceman the rudders are working great!

you know today is 6/23?

been tons of bait all along south OC coast. Last few times out of DP it was so thick it was like a rainstorm on the surface.... i once bombed a mack just outside a frenzy of birds and dolphin outside the San Mateo Kelp and got taken for about 150 yards by a dolphin. Be a fun ride on a kayak ill tell ya that much.

The date was right. It was 1am posting when i'm supposed to be getting ready to go out in the morning. Im too excited to sleep when i'm taking my boy out fishing. We hit the same area. Cold wind, chop, and not a lot happening. Good times and I'll be on it again next week.
