South SD bay 05/09
Fished the Southern half of the bay. Thank you for the suggestions and where to launch the park was perfect (Bayside park). I came over equipped with most of my La Jolla lures that we’re a little big. Trolled gulp swim baits (red with a chartreuse tail) on 1/2oz under-spins. Caught a few bay bass. My buddy was fishing with me and caught his first fish in a kayak. Very exciting. Tried to find a bonefish got some great advice from a gentleman but came up short. He said there lot easier to catch in the summer, I’ll try again this summer. Back to La Jolla next weekend. Tight lines!

Congrats! Looks like a great day on the water trying new spots and enjoying it with friends. Memories.

Cool. I spent a good amount of time in the back bay out of Bayside. Lots of spotties and halibut down that way. I too have heard of cortez bonefish and corvina down that way but haven't ever landed one myself
