Found rod in surf this morning/ and a 26lb yellow

Hit up LJ this morning, found a rod in the surf upon arrival. If you lost a rod tell me what it is and it's yours. Also caught a 26lb within 10 minutes of trolling a 12" mack. Off the water early and enjoyed some fresh yellowtail collars, thank you fishermans belly fing delicious! The streak continues! 5 for 5

Do you realize how many guys hate you lol I'm going 0/5 at La Jolla putting in 4 hours each time trolling 2 macs one low one high and I'm no noob to the area. My buddy got a thresher and a bonito down there this week but I've been sticking to north county better results my last fish in lj was probably a couple months ago I got a 28" wsb. Keep killing it man idk what you're using must be a lucky horseshoe/rabbits foot or both lmao great job

Hahaha, thanks brotha. I also live in Encinitas and have always thought about fishing north county. I've heard a lot of good things about c-bad kelp. The surf is the only thing holding me back don't know where to safely launch.

Cabe, don't listen to Sully. I have a hard enough time trying to win the Lotto without you participating with that lucky streak. Congrats Man!

Oh ya...I am 0 for 6 with a 3.5 hour drive each way and putting in 10-12 hour days and 6-8 miles. Just ask TaggerMike, I make the guy suffer 5:00 launches and long hauls with ripping currents. Lol. Mikes a stud.

Found rod

Just a heads up there was no reel on the rod and to tell you the truth that rod does not belong in LJ not even to make bait. Hope your set up findes it way home Charles.

Hey Gabe, question, when you go out are looking for some particular type of structure or conditions for YT before you drop your line over?

I'm dying to find YT up here in the Santa Monica/Malibu area but I'm not really sure what type of conditions or structure I should be looking for.

Thanks for giving some on my recipes a try, but, if
