Bone fish???

Any good advice on bonefish? Locations? How to fish for them, depths etc... I caught a decent amount last year out of chula vista, wanted to try different spots and rigs this year. when is a good time to start fishing for them?... Any info helps, I got a newbie to kayaking who wants to head out n I would like to put him on some fish. Thanks again.
