Night fishing

Took this picture last night of 23 boats night fishing off PCH about 1/4 mile out from Neptune's Net. They were out here last week also. Does anyone know what these boats are fishing for at night? Squid?

Is this a good time to be doing some daytime fishing near Leo Carrillo Beach/Neptune's Net area?

Isn't hooping for Lobster a night time thing?

Squid makes sense. Didn't even think of WSB.

Sometimes I forget there are more things in the sea than just bass and yellows..... LOL

Squid boats! most definitely. I have a friend right across the street from El Matador, and we see them out there pretty regularly.

Just fished those squid boats yesterday. Caught a ton of bait hoping to get a wsb but nothing. Hooked onto a big halibut but lost it as it was coming up. We were only getting fin bait but if you have squid jigs and get some live squid might be able to get a wsb.
