Oct 25-28 Gonzaga with the Rat Pack
Upper 80s daytime temps, water hovering around 80, nighttime mid 60s and single digit winds made for the perfect camping and kayak fishing. Fun small group to roll with anytime and anywhere. I fished nothing but Colt Snipers, a bigger Kastmaster and "mega baits" plenty of action on smaller fish and a few decent dinner fish. We ate like kings and slept like babies. Gotta thank Eric for letting me ride shot gun!

Great time as always. Co-Pilot Andy ensured I missed the little pot holes in the road..

I caught a bunch of different species: lizard fish bullseye puffer, sargo,, bone fish, grunt, riberra cabrilla, barracuda, trigger fish, spotted bass, gulf grouper, leopard grouper, sierra mackerel, and rose snapper. No corvina for me but some caught a fair amount and Eric's barred pargo was best catch IMO.

What a great trip. Looks like kayak fisherman paradise!
Our first excursion south for the season is coming up next week, and I can hardly wait. |
