Bounceballing
Im looking into new techniques to catch halibut in o'side harbor besides dropper loop and chovies or drifting squid. I hear people are having a lot of luck bounceballing a dodger rig. Has anyone had success bounceballing while slow trolling in a kayak?
Plan on going out Sunday morning in the harbor. |

I've BB-ed from the yak in SD bay several times. It was not too hard from a hobie, but I think it would be tough on a paddle kayak. Trolling a 1 lb cannon ball is not fun. Its not a complicated technique but they're are lots of little tweaks you can make. I caught many short butts, bass and even a 15 lb black sea bass, but no legal butts. Give itca shot. Mike
