Launched into toe slappers just after high tide and paddled out.
Got outside the reserve and started marking wads of bait short of the December spot. Yoyo'd through there and worked SW. Water was 56 degrees and dirty. By 7:30am I had no bites and the SE wind started picking up pretty bad. Paddled into the slop all the way into the reserve with Arne and called it a day early. Just checked the Gliderport wind, at 8am it was blowing 12 kts with gusts to 20 kts. I believe it! |

What is up with this wind lately? Hope it lays down. Think I'll hit it tomorrow, but it sounds kind of crappy.

I wanted to go out this morning, but didn't want to risk the wind. I was working in Santa Ana the last two days and and the wind was a steady 20mph gusting 40-50mph+. Guess that's why they call them Santa Ana's. Hope the wind dies and the bite picks up for Saturday.
