Way easier, quicker, tastier, and cheaper.

That's one of the places where I buy my salmon heads, prices can range from $0.79 up to $0.99 per pound. I always have them quarter the heads, if you do the same make sure you tell them to not clean the fish or they'll remove the gills and any loose parts.

Sometimes after a night of hooping I will collect all of the left over scraps and save them for the next trip. Typically, on the next trip I'll place the old pieces in the mesh pocket of the hoop net and place the new stuff in a bait cage or vice versa.

like i said

i did that once when i was working alot and could afford it . box of bugs was around 165 -175 + . well worth it but not cheap . whats the going rate ? 15 - 20 a pound at the least? they way i see it , all you need is one big score for it to pay out .

Advice, Play the odds ...

Use 5 nets or none at all.

As a poker player, odds are very important, same in lobstering ........

You'd be surprised to see what two hoops can produce in a good spot. Less work, less bait, less pulling and less mess. One good pull, home in time for dinner.

You can PM me the good spots as I know you know many of them.

I have an art show on opening weekend and bummed that I can not go out until Tuesday. Why would they schedule an art show on the lobster season opener????
