Boring Sunday Rain = New User Names....which will you pick?!

Well indeed it's raining and I did not go fishing today. Now, looking at BWE and longing to be on the water I notice that we have quite a few new members. Given the growth in popularity of kayak fishing plus the news of recent El Nino fueled super-catches I can only figure we will see even more new members joining us soon.

It is with this in mind that I have decided to offer a few new user-name suggestions. I have also offered some explanation for the type of person who may pick any of them. My only request is that you give credit to me if and when you choose one of these for yourself.

Enjoy….

User Names - Explanations:

Kelp4TP – Long day on the water and you were so surprised by how good it worked!

DragStar – Famous for his advice on conventional reels and fashionable attire for kayak fishing.

CircleHookJerk – He uses a circle hook but still likes to set it. Also enjoys group outings. He is saving-up for the PA-17 tandem because the chairs can face each other.

WantsToFish – This one comes with a free Avatar!

FrontRodHolder – This finesse angler maintains contact with the rod at all times.

JackSmeltOff – Pacific Greenback Mackerel makes the best bait but sometimes the sabiki gets loaded up with the wrong kind. Our member here wants to be free of that pesky by-catch....shake it off!

TotallyIntoTopSmelt – He loves that top action. I noticed a particularly nice pair nearby while surf landing my kayak. Our future member will grow tired of repeating this lengthy user-name in multiple fishing reports and begin abbreviating.

TightLinesTightAss – You know you look good...A selfie with every report!

OldYeller'Tale – AHHH yes...you caught a Yellowtail once some time ago. Now with your hero-status fading, you comment desperately on everyone else's post recalling your experience again and again.

TheSinker – 1oz, 2oz, torpedo, egg....you know your lead and you know how to get to the bottom and stay there. Comments on your first post will likely include advice on a PFD.

Reel-Spinner – You like the light spinning kind! It's just so much easier to handle than the conventional set-up.

SmeltCastings – You cast and cast again and again till you find the Smelt.

BaitMaite – Sophisticated and with a British accent, he is a generous member always offering to help you bait...pump ghost shrimp that is.

Fill your own explanations here:

FrontRodGrip -

ReelDeep -

RamBallMount –

BaitRod -

Bonus Names:

NeedleFish – While not on his Yacht or Private Jet he compensates by towing his fully outfitted PA-17 using a 4X4 Corvette!

LongRod – OK, I'll suggest this one on the SCSurffishing forum. After all, were dealing with kayakers here...HA!

I don't do well with boredom…..Matt

I really wish you would have put on your waders and dry jacket

And went fishing . . Although some of them really brought a chuckle .

Hilarious!

I might have to go with BaitBalls. I sit in a low seat puddle and usually have mackerel swimming around in the cockpit.
