6/9 B-day Butts & Bass on the Bay with my Boy
Took the day off along with my oldest son Nick (Masta) to celebrate another year of living the life here in SoCal. Woke up late , ate some breakfast and made our way down to SI.
Launched around 9ish and made our way to 1st spot (which ended up being our only spot due to it holding da feesh.) Drifted back & forth through the area riding a nice incoming tide. Called it a day around 1:00 pm. Nothing huge about or even a wide open bite but it was pretty productive for both Nick & I. My final tally was: 7 flatties (1 keeper) 6 sandies (most between 14" & 18") 3 spotties 2 leezard feesh 1 fat yellowfin croaker Most fish caught using dropper loop with plastics and GULP! Nick got about a dozen or so bass. Was nice to get to spend some time just chillin on the water with my son. Gotta go blow out some candles here soon...... Peace, Spyder |
