Looking for a rod holder
I have a Hobie Revolution and am in need of a rod holder to mount in the cockpit. I would prefer the rocket launcher style. If anyone has something to sell at a reasonable price, please let me know.

Bob,
They sell them on the online store here for about $33. I picked on up with 4 of the blind rivets. Easy install, about 10 minutes. Marco http://www.kayakfishingsupplies.com/...ing-Rod/Detail

Do you know where you want to mount the rod holder?
A popular place to mount Ram-Tube rocket launchers is on the gunnels, if thats where you had intended to mount it be sure to order the model with the 2" x 3" rectangle base. http://www.kayakfishingsupplies.com/...x3-Base/Detail |

Revolution Rod Holder Mount Location
Because of the way I store my kayak on the garage door roller frame, I cannot have anything that sticks above the gunnels. I am thinking of mounting my rod holder in the otherwise useless cup holder. Hopefully, mounted in this position the ball will not extend over the gunnel.
Assuming that this works, I plan to make a real cup, (beer) holder that mounts to the ball for those non-fishing days. Has anyone seen the ball mounted in this position? Bob |
