1/26 DP Surprise
Have you ever had a big halibut morph into a leopard shark ...........I have but never the opposite. Yesterday afternoon around 2pm. I had launched at 11 and picked up some 5-7 inch dines. Pretty afternoon, funky lil wind swell, but light winds were perfect. 2 hours without a bite so I made a move to an area I had not tried and stumbled on several biters, one on plastic that felt really heavy before it unbuttoned, another good one shook the hook at color, a 26 incher and big finish with the first REALLY big halibut for me from Dana Point. 32 pounder that looked 50 at color
Looooong fish. I would never have expected to find one this big in 10 feet of water in January. Seigler Reel on a custom Calstar 8 footer, 25# flouro, #1 hook.

Just curious you use a willow blade on your slider sinker ? And doesn’t spin right when your dragging it ?
