There

There's a first time for everything....caught my first wsb while throwing a spoon with my 12lb bass bait caster. Took a long time to bring it up and had to cut through a couple kelp stringers (thank god for braid), but about 15 mins later he was on the game clip. Caught in about 80 ft of water on the way back in after unsuccessfully trying for a yellow all morning. Saw some macs hitting the surface, thought I might get lucky and find a big mac in the group so I threw the spoon, and boy am I happy I did.

Weighed in at 47lbs and 48 inches.

I cant believe that sea dog finally left you alone long enough to catch that fish. And I thought with were hunting checkerboards! Nice catch on the light tackle dude!

Show the spoon you were using please. I've caught Calicos and barracuda on spoons. Mostly on red and white Daredevls.

Way to go, nice fish. Crocks work well in Baja too.

Wow, that is a monster. I'm still waiting to catch one, even half that size. Well done.
