1st time out
Well I took the Cuda 14 out for the first time today and I have to say...I had a blast! I put in at shelter island and started throwing 3" swim baits. I quickly learned that it is all about the drifting. I didn't catch a dang thing for the first 2 hours, but I was just cast and retrieving. I pretty much was paddling more than fishing. THEN...I decided to cast and just drift...BOOM! right off the bat I landed a nice spottie. My heart started racing! Only because I thought "s#it! What did I catch?" We'll needless to say I decided to try drifting again! 1 spottie, 2 spottie....eventually landed about 15 of those little fighters. FUN! Met up with EasyDay... Cool guy! Thanks for coming out bro! Loving this Kayak thing already.

Nice first day out. Now it time to get that bait tank soon. I looked for you from the shore. I must have missed you.

Great first trip. You learned something and caught fish. Can't beat that combo.
