Problems logging in
On 12/01/06, in our effort to address growing problem with the spam, we changed the URL path of BWE forum and removed a number of login accounts. All accounts that met the following criteria were deleted:
- Account had 0 posts AND - Account was created after 12/01/2005 AND - Account never exchanged PMs If your account met this criteria, it has been deleted. You can verify this by clicking on “Memberlist” link. Please create your account again by clicking on “Register” link. A small number of people whose accounts were NOT deleted reported being unable to log in. These accounts look OK in BWE forum database. The problem seems to be with the locally cached cookie on user’s PC – it probably still has the old URL path cached, or something along those lines. To resolve this problem, cookies need to be flushed / deleted from internet browser cache on user's PC. There should be no need to create a new account / re-register. If you're using Internet Explorer ver 6, click on: - Tools - choose “Internet options” - click on "Delete Cookies" - ...confirm If you're using Internet Explorer ver 7, click on: - Tools - choose Internet options - under "Browsing History", click on "Delete" button - click on "Delete Cookies" - ...confirm Open up a new internet browser window, and try to log in after that. Your username and original password should work. Please be aware - this will flush all cookies you had cached in your browser. You'll have to re-authenticate on web sites where you may have had the login info cached locally. If you’re still experiencing problem, please send email to admin@bigwatersedge.com . We’ll be glad to help you out. Thank you!!! BWE Team |
