LJ 4/30 Report
Sorry to say I have no fish to report, but will share what info I have in case someone finds this helpful.
Sunday 4/30/17: - Launched 6:30am - Surf was about 1-2 feet. Made for easy launching. - Bait was moderately difficult to find. All bait that I marked on the FF were mid to bottom of the water column. I finally caught some bait at 8:30am. - Fly-lined a Greenback for 2 hours for nothing. Off the water by 11:30am. Surf coming back in was easy as well. - Water temp was about 61 degrees F. - Swell was larger in the morning, and calmed down by 10am. Almost no wind in the morning. Nice day. Curious if anyone else caught fish on 4/30. |

Launched at 5:45 and had similar experience. Had to work for a couple of hours for the bait but did get both Spanish and greenbacks. Only bite I got was a very short halibut, released. I spoke with a number of people and none of them had fish. At least we got to enjoy a beautiful day. There's always next week.
