Dumb luck for a new member
Hi all. I've been reading your posts for about 2 months now. I just managed to venture out of the harbor last month and started chasing birds and trolling macks the last 3 trips. So the first time out I hooked up with 2 threshers and ended up with stretched hooks. Great 20 min fight with each and lots of acrobatics. The 2nd trip was during that mid coast storm and cold water last week. There were no signs of life. Then on 6/9/11 I went out again with my oldest boy. The night before I had just made a trip to costco (with 5 mins to close) for the HD Hero camera then ran to bass pro for a gaff and some owners. I cant beleive my luck. 53inch, 35lb bled WSB! I've caught YT off party boats but this was my first WSB ever. I had no idea they peeled line of like that!!! I have the fight on video just missing the first line scream. Im posting a pic and hopefully I will have the video edited soon for youtube. Just wanted to thank everyone for sharing their experiences!

Damn! By the look on your face and the grit hanging from your lip... You look like a salty kayak veteran to me!
Great job and welcome to the "club"! Make sure you get those stones! |

WTG with the OC biscuit. Maybe not as concentrated as in LJ, but we have 'em.

Thanks all for posts. As someone pointed out that is CG beach I'm standing on and I was definitely open water. As I figured pictures speak a thousand words and hopefully soon the video will reveal more.
