DP Butt Cherry 2/22
Early Sat morning, on the water by 7; chilly off shores blending into what was killer day on the water. Water was bout 59 degrees, not too much change in tide but enough to stir up a bite once the tide switched. One short sand bass on plastics, released, and one chubby sculpin on Chovies from the bait receiver. Started drifting a reverse dropper loop and scored my first legal butt, 27''. ONly took 3 years but worth the wait for sure. Didn't really feel any head shakes and actually he came up fairly easily, but he went ape shit one i got the game clip in. Off the water by 12, butt on the table by 6. Life is good.

Typical response. Congratulations on scoring your first, which is always special, it should get easier now. Decent size, good eats on the way. Congrats!

Congrats!
I'm sure it tasted divine. Now that sculpin you caught, did you keep that? Even better than halibut!
