Hope that is just temporary. It would really suck to haul a kayak over that.

It would REALLY suck to launch in the dark before the workers started, and come back in to a wall of sand.

It appears they are not done. Once again messing with the storm drain. 3 times of working on it over the years are not enough. They have made a mess of the beach launch and the streets in that area now for like 3 years. It seems like the typical incompetent engineering work by the city and the millions made at tax payer expense by the construction companies. They should have just left that 1/2 block of street at the launch just natural sand and the re-grading of the sand that is displaced by the surf wouldn't be much harder on a daily basis then what they do now anyway.

If someone brings a few bottles of soap we can make a slip n slide on the beach using that black plastic that they used to cover the berm

Sign on the fence blocking off that street at the launch says work to be completed in May...
