Nice setup found

Posting for a non-member,
kind enough to try to locate the owner:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I was bug diving last night in la jolla and found a nice setup. I am not a member but wanted the word out. If someone can describe it and where they lost it, I am happy to return it. Could you post this on Lost and found or at least on the forum?

Contact through email - rosstnfound@hotmail.com.

Thanks,
Ross

I had my bamboo gaff nabbed by a seal last week...I assume you are not talking about a gaff but thought it was worth a shout out

Lost at sea

Gold trini with off the shelf Shimano stick . Forgot to back off drags after cleaning reel . Had it in holder with no leash . Probably big black ? Heck I'll never know . . 300 yards of 65 spectra . Probably dragged it around for a week . With drags buttoned down , he had no problem rolling my revo . .

8-15lb Shimano Teramar blue spinning inshore series with Shimano Symetre reel. 10lb Berekley line, sabiki rig, a couple mackerals pulled it over the rail on Belmont Shore Pier in Long Beach. Maybe they made their way down south...

yep

my setup was found . thanks for shooting me a text . i would say it was at bottom of ocean maybe 3- 6 months at least . probably worthless ? i might be able salvage the side cases . that reel was brand spanking new when i lost it . live and learn. it did have half of the hobie leash still attached . that has got to be worth something . . thanks again for making contact . i will try to coordinate something with you in future date to set eyes upon it . probably break my heart . lol.

Wow... with all that gear (and $$$$) on the bottom of LJ, may be we should start a fishing gear salvage mission instead of lobstering...

p.s. I also donated my fair share to LJ: a radio, a sabiki set up, a light tackle (shimano stick + okuma avenger reel), and a chest full of 16th century pirate gold coins! aarrrrrgghhh
