Newbie rod and reel advice
Hey guys new to the sport kayakless at the moment but gathering tackle and gear beforehand.
I'd like a rod length and type along with a reel recommendation for fishing bass in open water with plastics on a 1/4 to 1/2 oz, lead head. I was eyeballing the Shimano Calcutta's but cant figure out wich model? What do you think? |

12-15lb on Calcutta 400 and a 7'-6" Teramar TMCX76M should do it. I use the same rod but with a low-profile 300DSV instead of the Calcutta. Works great on the 3B's.
