Thule saddles on crossbar
Bought a new car (Ford Escape ) and now I'm in the market for saddles or J-bar kayak holders.
I'd prefer something like the Thule 881 saddles for the easy loading from the back when I'm doing it alone. The furthest I can space saddles apart on a crossbar is 28" but I have a wide kayak (malibu kayak X-factor) so I'm worried that saddles won't be able to slide far enough apart. Does anybody have Thule saddles and can you measure how far they are apart on the crossbar and let me know. Also the type of kayak. Thanks |

I have a Stealth 14 and I space a set of Yakima hully rollers in the rear and saddles in the in the 10-12 range. With 28 inch width one will be no problem
