Windy day on the bay
Decided I'd hit up J Street and try for some bonefish down where the power plant used to be with the fly rod. Couldn't believe how soon the wind came up this morning in the south bay, but I was able to get 3-4 hours in before it blew too hard for the fly rod. Little 6 weight shrimp flies don't buck wind very well at all. A skiff 100 yards from me picked up 2 bonefish using ghost shrimp, but no luck for me other than this croaker.
Not a total loss though - I just figured out how to capture a .jpg still photo off a GoPro video... |

nice. great place to fish. Did you catch the yfc near the rock jettie? let me know next time you head down there and i'll peddle around with you and look for bones.
