cheap FF
My buddy wants to get an inexpensive fishfinder. He mostly dives/spearfishes and would use it as a depth gauge 90% of the time with the remaining 10% for finding suspended schools of blue rockfish (he's in Northern California).

Hey Nate,
Would second bassboys recommendation on the eaglecuda 168 from Basspro as the cheapest way to get the job done. Also at BPS is the Lowrance FishEasy245DS which just came out for $99. It's similar to the 168 only more watts, higher contrast and dual beam. Getting a unit with an extended warranty(like from West Marine) is also worth consideration for when it takes a crap. I don't know what some of the lower priced West Marine units are though. Keep dialectic grease on the terminals and you should be fine.
