What #test for spectra
Just picked up a new set up. Got a phenix black diamond 809 and going to pair it with a daiwa saltist bg 35. Mainly going to use it for irons. Gong to spool it all the spectra and use a short fluro leader. I was thinking about 55#.
Any thoughts? |

50 will do anything you need it to do. All I can say is invest in a good reel with a smooth drag

surface iron - dont put braid on it. Go 40XXX Izor.
yoyo iron - 65lb Izor just my opinion. Unless you never ever, ever backlash or unless you have a boat load of iron. Each back lash with braid = 1 iron donated to the sea
