Dana Point boat ramp parking?

Anybody know what the situation is with the DP boat ramp? Can we park in the big lot and wheel over? Doesn't seem to be much parking reserved for the ramp anymore.

There are small parking places for regular cars or kayaker , last time I went there was a guy sit next to gate told me where to park

Just drive around you can find small lot

FYI long times ago I parked long parking space even I paid same money like boaters I had ticket but I don't now about Dana Point

You can park in the free parking and wheel over - or you can pay the $10 for the boat lot. I've asked at the office and they said they would rather have kayakers pay the $10, but won't stop you from using the free parking.

Probably worth double checking. I was under the impression that single car parking on the other side of the barrier isn't free. Plus, the guy that rides around in the cart told me a couple of weeks ago that the fee was going up to $20 starting July 4th.

The free lot is 4 hour max during certain hours...So I would be careful about that.

Thanks for the info guys. When I was there last time, there was no signage of any sort in the new lot.
