Gonna get my yak wet monday if the charter boat falls through again

the boat got canceled last week and i'm afraid it may again this monday. if so (weather permitting) i plan on taking my new yak out for its virgin run. i would love to learn some launch sites and new techniques from you pro's. if this monday doesnt happen then any monday after or an early wednesday would be great. my kayak isnt quite up to fishing standards but i have some upgrades on the way so i don't have any big expectations.

long beach/ seal beach area

i suppose my area would be useful...
im in the long beach area, considering trying out the los alamitos bay or huntington harbor. certainly down to try other spots.

Good idea to start in the harbor until you get the feel of your new yak and are very comfortable before heading out to open water.

I fish most Mondays (sometimes Tuesday instead), probably not this week though. How about next Monday? What kayak do you have? Have you been out on a yak before?

I was looking to fish the Pipe. But, I wouldn't be comfortable taking you out there in a small sit inside, at least at this point. Newport and Huntington are really slow right now. But, Newport would be a good place for you to get used to your yak and have a shot at some fish. So, maybe we could hit Newport next week.
