A Change From The Norm
Left my crib around 430am
Tried to make bait at the mouth of the channel and didn't have any luck, since I already had frozen squid I didn't worry about it to much and started heading to the planned location. First drop gets a few bumps but nothing to write home about, decided to reel it up and up comes weird fish number 1 Decide to make a move and as we're headed out I land weird fish number 2. I didn't realize that I had changed the color scene on my camera so the picture did not come out in its natural color. As the morning progressed I kept moving and moving and moving and moving. Anyone that has ever fished for rockfish with me knows that I will keep moving until I find-em, a few hours later I find and a few dinks, ended up releasing roughly five shorties. Once the current shifted it was hit and miss. Had a blast fishing with Salty Dog. I told him that I'm glad I don't drink anymore because if I did we would have gotten hammered and probably ended up in Laguna Beach.

Wierd fish #1 looks like a cross between a lizard fish and a cuda........ sort of. Sounds like a lot of work to me. At least you got some.
