Making Greenies
Yesterday in LJ I came up on a wad of yaks tight on the kelp edge. I was like...what the heck are these guys doing bunched up? Turned out trying to make bait without much going on. That edge is where I usually get mine. But when it's not working, you gotta change it up. Meter around. With a good meter, zig zag that area between 75-100' looking for feeding greenies. Don't forget about just outside of the reserve(that's where I found plenty yesterday).
Spend extra time trying to find quality bait in the quantity You'll need for the day anticipating seal problems, using two rods, etc...one thing I always remind myself on: when I fished the sport boats back in the day, I always used the hottest, hardest to catch baits. That's what these fish want. Take the time to get the right bait and change them with frequency if you can. A hot bait gets bit above all else. Jim |

This tip was submitted to Team Sewer's tip committee for consideration but was denied and sent back to me in less than two minutes after emailed to them.
I was also told they were going to be in an all day emergency meeting to discuss possible disbandment since one of their strongest leaders had recently left the team. Also on their agenda...you didn't hear this one from me...a discussion will occur regarding a possible name change. Turns out there is someone in Vermont who has secured trademark rights to the name "Team Sewer" and is threatening litigation if its use is continued. Jim |

Sage advice.
Yesterday I saw a huge ball (not positive they were greens) in about 115' and about 50 yards from the kelp line. |

Good advice. Best advice I can give is to team up and head separate ways, why put all of your huevos in one basket? I can't tell you how often me and the rest of the guys I fish with do this and how often we are successful.

There is no "I" in Team
The "Team" part of fishing sounds like a great idea.
