3/4 day on Wednesday?

Thinking about heading out on a 3/4 day boat on Wednesday. Anyone want to join me? Suggest which boat?

The local boats out of long beach are good options. Overnight for the price of 3/4 day SD boats. Or less actually.

No cause the fish are up here. Check out freedom or tornado overnight boats. They were the ones catching a few 100 pounders bluefin. Problem is most are sold out but check anyhow in case in wrong.

You have options

I just went on a 3/4 day out of H&M Landing down here in San Diego yesterday. I landed 7 yellowtail to 20lbs. Our boat tally was 174 yellowtail (not runts either), 22 bonita, and about 10 cuda's. The boat was the Malihini. There also were several 3/4 day boats I saw at the dock that had yellowfin and bluefin tuna. There are schools of everything everywhere. A 1/2 day down here got a dorado and a tuna the other day. Tickets are selling out quick, so I would book soon if I were you. The bite was epic.

So the question is Malahini or the San Diego?

Well you won't have to decide because they are both sold out. There are only a few 3/4 day boats with open spots. You need to decide soon or you won't be on a boat. With the way fishing has been, you can't really go wrong as long as you are on the water. The bait reciever had perfect dines, about 4 inches and some chovies as well. H & M still have a few open spots on some 3/4 day boats. Prob won't last long though. We caught a bunch of fish on the troll. Every spot produced. The captain even went on a hunch and found fish down at the rockpile. The went on the other side of the islands for more fish. They are EVERYWHERE right now.

Cool, did Jay Saberon, one of the deckhands on the Malihini keep on pulling out his phone so he could show you the pix of his 16+ toad out of Miramar?

Nope, but I wish he did. Those deckhands stayed quite busy. Top notch crew for sure. My favorite 3/4 day by far, and has been for quite some time.

So, no go on the vest? lol. Just kidding. I had a buddy on the Malihini yesterday too. He was texting people to offload some of his yellowtail. Said he hooked up 22 times, and started handing off his rod to people who weren't getting bit. It must have been crazy!
